Surface Treatments

Surface Treatments (aka. Pretreatments) are the critical foundation that is applied to metal parts prior to powder coating or painted finishes.  They are essential for creating strong adhesion bonds between metal and paint, as well as acting as a barrier layer between the two for the purose of increased corrosion protection.

Many newer conversion coatings are designed to run a lower temperatures to help with energy-saving and are formulated with raw materials that are safer for your work force and the environment.

Lionsource offers traditional iron and zinc phosphate coatings, as well as more modern zirconium and non-phos conversion coatings.

Our processes are suitable for single and multi-staged applications, including immersion (aka. dip), spray and manual spray-wand systems.
